In Memoriam: Roger Cramer – The Katonah Art Stroll August 17, 2019 from 5 – 8 pm

The Eclectic Collector at 215 Katonah Ave. presents the artful sounds of Uncle Kingsley (Lily & Sam) as a backdrop to the beautiful photographs of world travel -from the Taj Mahal to the Great Wall of China by the late Roger Cramer. This month’s Katonah Art Stroll is in honor of Roger, as the co-founder of The Eclectic Collector. He passed away on July 22 and the proceeds of sales during the stroll will be given to the VA Home in Montrose.
10536 art gallery, located inside Ebba at 107 Katonah Ave, is hosting several new artists. The exhibit consists of pottery to mixed media as well as the first exhibit of art by six year artist Ava the daughter of Photographer Christy Hicks, eager to show her work to the world. Enjoy Art, live Music, and meet your art-loving katonah neighbors!
Old New House, located at 33 Katonah Avenue, will be featuring local artist, wooden sign and furniture painter: Matthew Ulrich Paint, as well as other local art by photographer Dennis Dilmaghani, and painter Grace Keogh. Refreshments will be served!

“Veils of Atmosphere”. From August 5 – September 3
The art of Ellen Hopkins Fountain  a renowned and award winning painter who finds inspiration in the vistas of the Hudson Valley and New England.
The twenty-five works exhibited include landscapes, riverscapes and abstract watercolor paintings.  An opening reception will coincide with the Katonah Art Stroll on Saturday, August 17th from 5:00 ~8:00 pm.  Refreshments, live music, meet the artist. Everyone is welcome!
Singer/song writer Omar Ramirez will be performing on acoustic and electric guitar with vocalist Kimmi. The duo is known as 11-22.
Westchester Magazines Best New Art Gallery, CB Gallery Located at 23 Valley Road, presents Fashion Summer by photographer Miles Ladin.  Mentored by some of the worlds greatest photographers including Larry Fink, Nan Goldin and Barkley Hendricks, Ladin’s work is equal parts beauty and social commentary.  Live rock music by Jackson Swanson.  Refreshments will be served.  (@cbartgallery)
Offerings Gallery, 59 Katonah Ave – Westchester’s oldest non-traditional gallery will be exhibiting the recent oil paintings of abstracted landscapes, cityscapes and extraordinary ocean scapes by master painter Mireille Duchesne. Her extraordinary ability to manipulate paint through her favorite technique of wet on wet brings a glow of light, depth and drama few artists can achieve. Also on exhibit are selected works by Lance Johnson, Susan Zoon, and Mindy Yanish.
The uplifting and spontaneously creative music of composer/guitarist Michael James and the vocal artistry of BAZZ brings a new and moving experience to this exceedingly popular community event – voted Best New Community Event in 2019 by Westchester magazine.
The Katonah Museum of Art at 134 Jay Street offers Free admission, food and drink from 4-5 pm as a kickoff for the Stroll. Enjoy this special starting place for the evening’s festivities. Currently on exhibit: The Edge Effect describes an ecological phenomenon in the border area between disparate habitats, such as a meadow and a forest, which results in exponentially greater biodiversity.
This exhibition includes works in all media and subject matter submitted by artists from all over the U.S. and 13 countries around the world. 67 works were chosen out of 957 submissions. Juried by Akili Tommasino, Associate Curator, Modern and Contemporary Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
