Car Scavenger Hunts are safe and a perfect thing to do during the Easter Break

Connecticut-based party planning company, Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events were looking to add something fresh and philanthropic to add to their repertoire. That’s when the founders Rachel Lampen and Kirsten Mitrakis came up with the novel idea of creating car-based scavenger hunts that would benefit local non-profits. They now have five local routes, with more to be released this month. Each hunt costs $10 per vehicle with 50% going to the chosen charity.

Rock Paper Scissors latest route in Westport, CT, which will benefit Domestic Violence Crisis Center, CT, and will be available to drive until the end of May 2021. Lampen says: “To date, we have raised $1,155 for local charities and want to see that number double. It’s such an easy and fun thing to do as a family or a couple. Simply visit our website, download the map and clue sheet. You can drive it whenever you like so it’s a great thing to do over the Easter Break if you are not going away.”

Mitrakis continues “We were getting so many requests to add routes for new towns, we added a nomination form on our website. When we received a suggestion for Westport benefiting DVCCCT – who support individuals on their journey to safety we jumped at the opportunity – we jumped at the opportunity. The organization is incredible, supporting many towns across Fairfield and they have been working so hard given the strains of the recent pandemic.”Logo Description automatically generated
