Katonah Art Stroll – Saturday June 15th! 5- 8pm – Live Music, New Art, Refreshments and Surprises

Saturday Evening June 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. Katonah is the place to be for fun and inspiration! Immensely successful since its inception last April, the monthly Katonah Art Stroll returns to uplift and inspire. Live music, art demonstrations and refreshments throughout this idyllic Westchester town.

 

The evening’s festivities kick-off at 4:00 PM at the Katonah Museum of Art where LandEscape: New Visions of the Landscape from the Early 20th and 21st Centuries is on view. This is one of the last times to see the exhibit which closes on June 16th. The Spot Gallery also features KMAA Artist: Debra Billow in The Spot Gallery. Enjoy free admission and refreshments. When the museum closes at 5, the stroll will continue along Katonah Avenue with live music, artist visits and more.

 

Forward Contemporary Gallery, the most recent addition of world class galleries in Katonah, at 43 Katonah Avenue will be continue to exhibit new works from Jeffrey Terreson’s deep fluid textural style all done in oil paints.

 

Oak&Oil Gallery at 89 Katonah Ave is showcasing new work by artist Linda Puiatti, a landscape painter. Always inspired by nature, open spaces, and seascapes, her latest work explores the representation and abstraction of landscapes, marshes, mountains and horizons.  In her larger scale oil paintings, Puiatti reduces the scene to its essential elements while maintaining the luminosity and drama of a unique moment in time. What remains constant in her work is the play of light and shadow and the personal connection with the viewer.  There will be live music by Omar Martinez and refreshments.   www.oakandoil.com

 

OFFERINGS GALLERY – 59 Katonah Avenue, Katonah, NY, will host the Selected Works of artist Susan Zoon from June 15 – July 7 with an Artist’s Reception during the Katonah Art Stroll on Saturday June 15 5-8pm.  Zoon’s painting style is as unique as a fingerprint; a feminine, curvilinear re-imagining of cubism and surrealism.  These narrative works, defined in various series from sociopolitical, to environmental, to Mexican Day of The Dead, are represented in many collections around the country and the world, including that of the former President William J. Located at 23 Valley Road, CB Gallery will continue to show paintings by twenty- one year-old emerging artist Gunnar Magnus for his show entitled Concrete.  The New Canaan based Magnus paintings are inspired by the emotional healing process and are evocative of street art meets mid-century contemporary.  Artist demonstrations, live music by Reid Gerken, refreshments and surprises will be served.  (@cbartgallery)
