Baldanza is Back in New Canaan!

After a temporary absence due to COVID-19 The Baldanza’s are thrilled to announce their return to New Canaan. Having looked at several downtown locations the Baldanza’s have committed to re-opening Baldanza Café on New Canaan’s ‘restaurant row’ – 21 Forest Street.

With a launch date penned in for August/September 2020, the Baldanza’s are hard at work transforming the former Embody site by placing their rustic farm to fork stamp on the interior. The interior will be intimate and cozy seating 40 guests, with 6 free parking spaces out back. There are 12 al fresco seats out front.

Sandy Baldanza says: “We took a little time out to refocus on our own restaurant development and look forward to being back in New Canaan. The menu will continue to focus on organic, fresh produce and supporting local farms. During Covid-19 our Family Meal Menu have been super popular and provide great value, so these will continue. It literally doesn’t make sense to do it yourself with the quality ingredients we use.”

Angela Baldanza comments: “We are excited about getting back to our regulars in New Canaan. The town has always been so special to us, having launched our original market café there in 2013.  As before it will be intimate, casual dining with a focus on local, seasonal and superb service. I am ecstatic at having the opportunity to place finishing touches to the interior and welcome our loyal and supportive friends back to Baldanza Cafe.”

Alex Baldanza adds: “I am looking forward to our original team being reunited, getting back behind the bar and creating some outstanding drinks for our loyal customers.”

The Baldanza’s had previously been located at 129 Elm Street for a short period but canceled their brand licensing deal. For the latest on hours, menus and online ordering sign up to Baldanza Newsletter HERE
