“The Point with Dr. Lisa Strohman” podcast, which will focus on the convergence of mental health, digital technology, and society, will broadcast its first episode on April 20 (https://drlisastrohman.com/the-point-with-dr-lisa-strohman/), it was announced today by host Dr. Lisa Strohman—internationally known clinical psychologist, attorney, and Digital Citizen Academy founder. Dr. Strohman’s first episode will feature Sue Klebold, mother of Columbine High School shooter Dylan Klebold. Ms. Klebold will discuss her 2016 book, A Mother’s Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy, and she will offer her thoughts on issues such as her becoming a mental health spokesperson, social media and its dangers to society, and what signs parents should watch for with their children which could signal mental illness.

“Digital technology, particularly social media, dominates our world today—and it is clearly not always in our best interests,” said Dr. Strohman. “With ‘The Point’ I will discuss the downsides of social media, including its abusive nature and its ability to be manipulated by bad people for insidious reasons, such as giving child predators access to children, drug dealing, and even human trafficking. Whether it is Sue Klebold discussing young girls having online “Celestial Marriages” to her late son Dylan, or Amy Van Dyken

“The Point” will feature U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Amy Van Dyken in episode two. Van Dyken was paralyzed from the waist down following a car accident, and she will discuss some of the social media harassment she has received from others who were unaware of her accident.
