For generations, sparkling wines have been enjoyed as a way to celebrate meaningful occasions and events in our lives. Even if we concede that the wine’s effervesce and a mood of reverie are part and parcel, there should be no reason we treat any day gone by, any meal shared among loved ones or friends, as anything less than a moment worth celebrating.
On Wednesday, January 31st, Restaurant North will host a lively dinner that is sure to prove just this, as well as remind us (or perhaps even show us for the first time) the great pleasure it is to pair these dazzling wines with all manner of food.
From pioneering sparkling wines made by families in our own country to the esteemed wines of Cava and the hauntingly rich wines of Champagne, we’ll taste bubbles from far and wide and explore the many unexpected pleasures they hold. The night will also give us occasion to enjoy thoroughly one of the world’s great marriages: Fried Chicken & Champagne! We can’t imagine a more fitting way to reflect on the first month of a New Year gone by.
