The latest spring fashions will light up the runway at The Westchester April 12-13 during Simon Fashion Now®, presented by White Plains Hospital. The event is the first stop of a national tour designed and presented by Simon Property Group (NYSE-SPG), the country’s largest owner, developer and manager of high-quality real estate.

Simon Fashion Now® offers a vibrant mix of accessible, luxurious and affordable style for men, women and children and the ability for shoppers to purchase straight from the runway. All events are free and open to the public.

“We provide the NOW factor, by interpreting the season’s trends and creating hundreds of accessible looks on the runway that are available for purchase that same day from our retailers,” said Jacqué Ellis, vice president of corporate special events and marketing at Simon. “It’s a great way for consumers to fulfill their desire for immediate gratification after seeing something on the runway they would like to add to their personal wardrobe.”

Simon Fashion Now at The Westchester begins Friday, April 12, in Nordstrom Court from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Trends & Friends Night, an evening of fashion, wine tasting, light bites, exclusive deals, sampling, demonstrations and consultations. Runway fashion shows begin at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., featuring looks from more than a dozen of The Westchester’s finest retailers, including C. Wonder, LOFT, Anthropologie, Juicy Couture, True Religion Brand Jeans, bebe, HUGO BOSS Store and Brooks Brothers.

At 7 p.m., shoppers won’t want to miss Ready, Set, Style!, as  selected audience members show off their personal styling chops during an on-stage competition for a chance to walk away with bragging rights and the season’s hottest accessory – a Simon Giftcard®.

The first 150 guests to register with at The Westchester each day – 300 visitors in total – will receive an exclusive Simon Fashion Now swag bag (while supplies last) full of great gifts.

Simon Fashion NOW continues on Saturday, April 13, at 12 p.m. with Design Wars, an interactive fashion competition featuring student designers from SUNY Westchester Community College and Westchester Fashion Academy for Children vying for top runway honors in this inspired version of runway reality. High school seniors from the Her Honor Mentoring Program will serve as models, showcasing couture looks created from dresses and gowns donated by Operation PROM and transformed by their student designers into a spectacular new custom creation. The student models ultimately will wear their custom looks to their high school proms this spring.

High-energy runway fashion shows will take the stage at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The shows will introduce spring looks from Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, Brighton Collectibles, Chico’s, dELiA*s, Eileen Fisher, GAP/Baby GAP,  Lilly Pulitzer, The North Face and more. A special shoe trend show featuring Aldo Shoes, Nine West and Sperry Top-Sider will hit the runway at 1:30 p.m.  At 2:30 p.m., Ready, Set, Style! competition returns to the stage. In addition, every hour between noon to 3 p.m., guests can register to win fabulous prizes from the mall’s premier retailers during the Runway Giveaway.

During Simon Fashion Now®, guests can also participate in fundraising elements to benefit Operation PROMand the Junior League of Central Westchester

“The Simon Fashion Now® tour makes our mall the source for the season’s most accessible fashion trends and accessories,” said Paula Kelliher, area director of mall marketing for The Westchester. “At each event, we extend fashion beyond the runway and offer a stylish twist on an evening out through our Trends & Friends Night. Guests can connect with our retailers through interactive stations while enjoying an evening of fashion, wine tastings, light bites and exclusive deals.”
