Members Of Westchester’s Hospitality Industry Are Banding Together To Help Those In Need During The COVID-19 Pandemic

COUNTY EXECUTIVE GEORGE LATIMER JOINS EFFORT TO PROMOTE “MILLION GALLONS” PROGRAM IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY

  

 

 

County Executive George Latimer joined a coalition of Westchester based chefs and restauranteurs who are coming together to support their workers and communities in response to the Coronavirus crisis.

 

Latimer said: “What these folks have done is step up in the tradition of American private business, people who are hurting financially in their own investments and operations, and still step forward to give to those in need. We hope that in County government that we can be good partners to this industry, and all businesses, as we don’t know what we are going to have to face until we complete the challenge ahead.”

 

Present at the event today were Louie Lanza (Hudson Hospitality Group), Eric Korn (Monteverde at Oldstone), Scott Vaccaro (Captain Lawrence Brewing Co.), Mogan Anthony (Village Social Hospitality Group), Navjot Arora (Chutney Masala), Matthew Honeycutt (Feeding Westchester) and John Van Dekker (Enormous Creative).

 

The group is recruiting chefs, raising money, accepting corporate donations of food and supplies, and mobilizing to assist in providing meals to thousands of people in our area.
