Enjoy a great night out – meet international, multi-platinum recording artist Patrizio Buanne, feast on a special prix-fix dinner at TerraSole Ristorante (3 Big Shop Lane, Ridgefield), then head over to The Ridgefield Playhouse for Patrizio’s performance – all for $110 per person (includes ticket to the show, does not include alcohol or gratuity). Known to many as “the Italian Michael Bublé,” Neapolitan pop crooner Patrizio Buanne is touring in support of his new album, Italianissimo, and will return to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, February 8 at 8pm, part of the Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series and the World Music Series. Buanne has made a mark on the US album charts with his first four CDs of Italian standards and has been dubbed “The Ambassador of Dolce Vita!” Media partner for this event is WICC 600.
On PBS stations around the country and on concert stages around the world, Patrizio Buanne has seduced audiences with his smooth, romantic vocals, a style that has been described as “Julio Iglesias meets Tom Jones.” On best-selling albums like The Italian and Viva la Dolce Vita, Buanne has created a disarming repertoire that incorporates original songs (“Forever Begins Tonight,” “Un Angelo”) and American pop with traditional Italian tunes and Neapolitan favorites like “Il Mondo,” “Mambo Italiano,” “Oh Marie,” and “That’s Amore.” He has sold over 10 million albums worldwide in the last 10 years. Like Chris Botti, Celine Dion, Julio Iglesias or Tom Jones, Buanne is searching for that same, timeless quality in a song that conveys sentiments in a credible way. Buanne interprets these beautiful songs with his own romantic, uniquely European approach. Buanne’s fifth album,Italianissimo, features classic songs such as “Ti amo,” “Oh Marie,” “Volare,” and “Caruso,” as well as original songs with a timeless slant such as “Only Your Love Takes Me Home“ and “Brand New Word for Sexy.”
“I’m not just a Neapolitan guy singing Italian songs. Yes, It’s important to give people the kind of music I am known for, but I also wanted to open myself up artistically and give them something else or rather something ‘more of me.’ I want to present my passion for interpreting any great song — no matter if Italian, American or new,” states Buanne.
