The way Kybella Works
Kybella does work ! The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the area beneath your chin, Kybella destroys fat cells. Once destroyed, these fat cells cannot store or accumulate fat. Downtime is minimal, I was out and about the next day wearing my beautiful scarf that came with the treatment! Most people will require 2-3 treatments for optimal results, but occasionally only 1 session is needed. The number of treatments depend on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal goals. Treatments can be spaced every 4 weeks with continued improvement in results seen over the span of months. Once the aesthetic effect is achieved , Kybella treatment is permanent and further treatment is not expected.
