The July 25th event is the third annual Rock White Plains concert, which featured Smashmouth in 2019 and the Spin Doctors in 2022. The purpose of the concert is to activate the downtown, build community, increase foot traffic to small businesses, and create a “stay and play” environment for area employees. This mid-summer evening event will take place on Mamaroneck Avenue between Main Street and Martine Avenue and is expected to draw thousands to the heart of downtown White Plains providing a boost to businesses and area restaurants by bringing foot traffic to the area.

About the Entertainment:

Since emerging in 1997, the GRAMMY Award-nominated multiplatinum Chicago quintet—Tom Higgenson [vocals], Tim Lopez [lead guitar, vocals], Mike Retondo [bass], and De’Mar Hamilton[drums]—has amassed an enduring, engaging, and enigmatic catalog, spanning two gold-certified offerings All That We Needed (2005) and Every Second Counts (2006) and unshakable anthems such as the double-platinum “1,2,3,4” and platinum “Rhythm of Love.” Among the discography, “Hey There Delilah” went quadruple-platinum, topped the Billboard Hot 100, and earned a pair of 2008 GRAMMY Award nominations in the categories of “Song of the Year” and “Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. ” The group recently released two new singles, “Spaghetti Tattoo” and “Happy”.

The concert’s opener will be New York-based artist Alex Cano, whose debut album ‘Every Rise of the Sun’ is a story of resilience and survivorship that hits straight to the heart while making you want to drum along on your steering wheel. If you’re looking for a raw slice of organic, honest, Rock n’ Roll, this is it. From setbacks to comebacks, to ultimate resolve, this record comes from a very real place and is intended to revive and inspire. Cano’s combination of smooth baritone and powerful rock vocals tell the truth and the whole truth, from cover to cover. Coming from a wide array of influences, his sound is described as a mix of Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Jason Isbell, and Johnny Cash.
