Have you ever wondered where the hottest people were born? Is there some magic formula in the water in certain places that allows human beings like Patrick Dempsey and Bella Hadid to be created?
Bella Hadid certainly can’t attribute the success of her modeling career to a cup of water, and there’s no specific place that only produces “hot” human beings. In fact, beauty has nothing to do with the place where you’re born or the clothes and makeup you wear. True beauty comes from within.
However, there seems to be some trends when it comes to locations that produce more hot celebs than most. We’ll take a look at some of these places and highlight the patterns we found.
Global Hotspots
Out of the top 10 global “hot” spots where gorgeous celebs are born, three of those places were islands. American Samoa, Bermuda, and Barbados boast beaches, bikinis, and beautiful people!
Fans of the popular series Game of Thrones will recognize Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister. Lena was born in Bermuda, a beautiful island known for its pink sand beaches. Barbados was the birthplace of singer/songwriter Rhianna, who combined her angelic voice with her entrepreneurial skills to build a billion-dollar empire.
Coastal regions seem to play a big part in producing hot celebrities, too. Going back to the top 10 global hotspots, three of those places belong on the East Coast of the United States. Of course, you can immediately imagine New York being one of those places, and you’re right as that state comes in #6.
However, the states of Delaware and Massachusetts have also been the birthplace of beautiful people. Delaware is the home of actress Aubrey Plaza, known for her role in the hit television series, Parks and Rec. Her costar, Amy Poehler, also hails from the East Coast, having been born in Massachusetts.
Since the East Coast of the United States made it onto the list of the top 10 global hot spots, it’s unsurprising that the West Coast did as well. The home of Hollywood, it should be no surprise that California is on this list, ranking #7. While there are plenty of beautiful people living in Malibu and Beverly Hills, only a few can claim California as their birthplace. These few include actresses Elizabeth Olsen and Brie Larson, known for their respective roles in the Marvel franchise.
Overall, it seems that the hottest people born abroad are from Bermuda, Barbados, and Guyana. Keeping in the Marvel theme, you’ll recognize Black Panther star, Letitia Wright, hailing Guyana as home.
The United States of Attractive
It’s time to narrow our focus down to the United States. The U.S. can claim quite a few hot celebs originating from within her borders. From Hawaii to Maine, the birthplaces of many hot and famous people dot the United States.
We begin with Hawaii, the home of the fierce Jason Momoa, who grew up in the sandy surf of the Hawaiian beaches. It’s fitting that one of his most well-known roles is that of Aquaman within the DC Comics franchise. If we head over to California, you’ll see the birthplace of Billie Eilish. Billie’s career as a singer/songwriter began to take off in 2018, and she’s now known as one of the hottest celebs in the world.
We can make a surprising stop in the mountain region of the U.S., where Instagram model Sommer Ray traces her roots back to the state of Colorado. Her Instagram following boasts nearly 30 million people, and she has become an enemy of many high school girls whose boyfriends are a part of that 30 million follower count.
The Midwest may be “flyover country” to some, but we can’t skip the beginnings of women like Ashley Graham and Gabrielle Union, both of whom hail from Nebraska. Ashley has become a trailblazer for fashion, encouraging plus-size women to push back against modern beauty standards and take their place modeling on billboards. You’ll recognize Gabrielle Union if you were a teen in the 1990s and 2000s, as she had roles in the hits 10 Things I Hate About You and She’s All That.
Finally, we end up back on the East Coast. New York is the home of quite a few celebrities, including Cardi B, who has become a popular rapper and singer. Scarlett Johansson was also born in New York. She had a starring role as Black Widow in the Marvel franchise but has also been deemed the hottest actress on this list overall.
The United States even has celebrities born in the Northeast corner of the state of Maine. Maine might have its share of cold and snow, but you will be quickly warmed once you learn that Patrick Dempsey, the very hot star of Grey’s Anatomy, calls that state home.
Embrace Beauty & You Will Find it Everywhere
The problem with calling celebrities “hot” is that beauty standards are different for every culture. As hard as you might try, you can’t fake beauty. AI beauty filters on TikTok and Instagram, the tools in Photoshop, and the countless other apps we use to make ourselves into something we’re not will never replace natural human beauty.
That’s because beauty isn’t just found on the outside; it’s also on the inside. Barbados may be at the root of Rhianna’s physical beauty, but the kindness she shows through her philanthropy isn’t based on where she was from — it comes from who she is as a person.
You can find beauty all over the world. It won’t just come from a few specific areas, and true beauty can be found in everyone.
