Refined by Design – House Tour, Talk & Lunch with Thom Filicia & Clinton Smith

The Bedford Historical Society is having a House Tour with a Q&A with Thom Filicia and Clinton Smith on Thursday, May 18th. It’s going to be a fun, hip house tour – lunch will have a Provençal flavor under a tent at one of the homes – Clinton Smith author of Veranda Entertaininglives here in Bedford and Thom Filicia has local contacts so I think they’re going to be very engaging too!

Enjoy a lively discussion on style and design with Thom Filicia and Clinton Smith then take a tour of four historically significant homes followed by “lunch on the lawn” in the heart of Bedford Village.

You’ll get an entirely new perspective as celebrity designer, author and tv personality Thom Filicia swaps insights with the Editor-in-Chief of Veranda, Magazine, Clinton Smith,  on “old homes – new styles.”

The tour will provide a glimpse into Bedford’s storied past with a design eye toward the future. The Village houses reflect the art of retaining historic character while incorporating a modern aesthetic. At each location visitors will learn the backstory of the property as well as insights into design and architecture.

A spring lunch will follow on the grounds of a historic Village home with a book signing by Clinton Smith. Tickets are $125 for members, $150 for non-members and include lunch, the tour, talk and Centennial goodie bag. To purchase tickets, please visit the Society’s website at:   www.bedfordhistoricalsociety.org or call 914.234.9751. All proceeds from the event benefit the Bedford Historical Society’s Education Fund.
