Tadeusz Lysiak’s live-action short film The Dress (Sukienka) shares a story of a disabled woman who longs for companionship. This topical film which addresses the crucial topics of disability and intimacy has been screened at over 25 film festivals including the Oscar qualifying Odense International Film Festival and Krakow Film Festival. The Dress has won multiple Awards including the Oscar qualifying Award at the 2021 Atlanta Film Festival.

Director Tadeusz Lysiak is the director of two award-winning short films: Techno and The Dress which won the Best Narrative Short Award at Atlanta Film Festival and the Best Student Fiction Film at 2021 In The Palace International Short Film Festival, two Oscar-qualifying Awards. Tadeusz was featured in the 2020 Generation NEXT of European Cinema within Eastern Promises at the Karlovy Vary Festival and he is a winner of the Discovering Eye Award, an award given to young talented filmmakers at the Polish Film Festival in Chicago.
Producer Maciej Slesicki is also a director and screenwriter who founded Warsaw Film School in 2004, home to one of Poland’s most popular actors Boguslaw Linda. His films include Trzy minuty. 21:37 (Three minutes. 21:37), Tato (Daddy) and Sara and Show. He created the TV series 13 Posterunek (Station 13), produced the multi-awarded film Rezerwat (Reservation) and has been the producer for student films, including Nasza Klątwa (Our Curse) which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary (Short Subject) at the 87th Academy Awards. The Dress was produced by Warsaw Film School.
The Dress was co-produced by three companies: DOBRO, MIŁO, and GŁOSNO. DOBRO is a full-service, creative production studio part of Platige Image group. MIŁO is an image post-production studio, located in the heart of Warsaw where Paweł Kuczyński is the Studio Manager and GŁOŚNO is a sound studio also located in the heart of Warsaw. Ewa Brzózka who is the CEO of DOBRO was the executive producer of the movie. Monika Ossowska who worked at DOBRO at the time of the production was the executive producer & production manager. Ossowska currently works on a full-length feature film a Polish-British co-production. Błażej Kafarski who is the founder and owner of GŁOŚNO has worked in film industry for 15 years, created sound for hundreds of TV commercials and over a dozen of feature and documentary films.
Cinematographer Konrad Bloch was nominated in 2018 for Golden Tadpole for the short movie Techno and received a 2020 Bronze Tadpole Winner of the Oscar-qualifying Award at Atlanta Film Festival & has screened at over 20 international film festivals

In the same year he also received the Heliograf company Award at the 45th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for Best Cinematography in the Short Film Competition and was awarded Best Cinematography at the 38th Sulmona Film Festival. Konrad is now preparing for his feature debut.
The Dress will be screening at San Diego International Film Festival from October 14th – October 24th, Kerry International Film festival from October 14th – October 17th and CinEast from Oct 7th – Oct 24th.for The Dress at Camerimage 2020.
