The Hampton Classic Horse Show Returns August 23–30 for Its 51st Year of World-Class Competition

Every summer, the Hamptons become home to one of the country’s most prestigious equestrian events, and this August is no exception. The 51st annual Hampton Classic Horse Show returns to Bridgehampton from August 23–30, 2026, bringing together elite riders, Olympic-caliber horses, celebrity spectators, luxury shopping, and family-friendly entertainment.

With more than $1 million in prize money, the week-long event features top-level FEI CSI5* and CSI2* show jumping alongside premier hunter competitions, making it one of the highlights of the summer social season in the Hamptons.

Opening Day Celebrates Local Riders

The festivities begin on Sunday, August 23, with the beloved “Local Day,” showcasing Long Island equestrians. Visitors can enjoy:

  • The Long Island Sportsmanship Award
  • Leadline classes for children ages 2–7
  • The $30,000 1.40m Jumper Challenge benefiting the Kevin Babington Foundation
  • The $10,000 Marders Local Hunter Derby

A Day Dedicated to Animal Lovers

Monday features the Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities Finals, presented by Dime Bank.

Animal lovers won’t want to miss the annual Adoption Day, where local rescue organizations will introduce adoptable dogs, cats, and horses throughout the afternoon.

Championship Competition Begins Thursday

International competition heats up beginning Thursday, August 27, with FEI CSI2* and CSI5* events designed by renowned course designers Nick Granat and Anderson Lima.

Highlights include:

  • FEI Grand Prix Qualifiers
  • Saturday’s featured 5* Jumper Class
  • Sunday’s $70,000 Hampton Classic 2* Grand Prix
  • The prestigious $400,000 Longines Hampton Classic 5 Grand Prix*

Riders will also compete for the Longines Rider Challenge bonuses awarded on Grand Prix Sunday.
