As mentioned above, the affordability and the advancements in medical technology have helped fuel the rise in at-home cosmetic treatments. Before we dive in, in should be worth noting that not all cosmetic procedures should be done at home and are best left to the care of a professional. Listed below are the top 15 most searched for at-home cosmetic treatments in the United States, based on Google search volume:

Skin slugging came in as the 11th most popular cosmetic treatment on the list but had a +529% rise in searches from this time last year. Lash extensions were also up 52% year-over-year and mole removal was up 46% year-over-year. At-home cosmetic searches as a whole saw a 9% increase in searches while professional cosmetic procedures had a slight decrease from this time in 2021.
