Sixth Annual “Ladies Who Lunch for a Cure” Benefiting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation With a Fashion Presentation Showcasing Fashion Icon Dennis Basso

 

The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) will host its sixth annual “Ladies who Lunch for a Cure” at the private Upper East Side residence on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 in New York City.

The event will feature an exciting fashion show from Fashion Icon Dennis Basso and will be emcee’d byDon Lemon of CNN tonight.

On his involvement with the event, fashion icon Dennis Basso said, “As cancer has touched all of our lives, whether our family, friends or colleagues, research to find a cure is of upmost importance.  What the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation is doing is really an incredible job as they try to reach this cure.  It’s such an honor to be associated.”

With regard to the success of the luncheon, SWCRF Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Samuel Waxman said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Mr. Basso for this event to support groundbreaking cancer research. Mr. Basso joins a charitable cadre of fashion-industry designers and leaders who have helped the SWCRF fund more than $100 million in research. We are grateful for his generous support of this event. Also, we thank the Collaborating for a Cure event chairs, committee and hostess Mrs. Gutfreund for the generosity of their time and support.”

Event Chairs include Lauren Lawrence, Pamela Morgan, and Marion N. Waxman with Co-Chair Erica Linden-Fineberg. The Organizing Committee for the event includes Karen Amster-Young, Chris Arlotta, Sharon Bush, Maria Elena Christiansen, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Michelle Greenberg, Susan Gutfreund, Nurit Kahane Haase, Michelle Marie Hienemann, Yaz Hernandez, Patricia Kluge, Jeanne Lawrence, Vanessa Noel, Patty Raynes, Nicole Salmasi and Barbara Tober. Catering for the event will be performed by City Chefs Catering and Wine will be supplied by Palm Bay.

Tickets for the event are available at the price of $350 each and tickets for the raffle will cost $50 each with 3 tickets for only $125 with all event proceeds benefiting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.
