Scarsdale Village Spring Shop & Share event to benefit Family Services of Westchester (FSW) on Thursday and Friday, April 26th​ ​and April 27th.

Scarsdale Village merchants, in collaboration with The Acceleration Project (TAP), are proud to announce the Scarsdale Village Spring Shop & Share event to benefit Family Services of Westchester (FSW) on Thursday and Friday, April 26th​ ​and April 27th.

Last fall, I Am More Scarsdale, Rothmans, and Wilson & Son Jewelers ran a trial collaborative Shop & Share event to benefit The Sharing Shelf clothing bank for children, a program of FSW. Given the overwhelming success, a larger scale, village-wide Shop & Share event is currently being planned for Thursday and Friday, April 26 and 27. All proceeds from the spring event will benefit FSW.

Participating Scarsdale Village merchants plan to either donate a percentage of proceeds or pledge amount to FSW during this two-day event. Merchants will have the opportunity to display merchandise for sale outside their store-fronts, similar to the annual summer sidewalk sale, and many will be offering promotions as well.

On Thursday, April 26th, the event will take place in conjunction with the weekly outdoor Farmer’s Market on Boniface Circle in Scarsdale Village.

“This event will contribute to the vitality of Scarsdale Village, drawing members of the community and surrounding communities to shop and support our local merchants while giving back to one of the largest human services and mental health non-profit organizations in Westchester County,” stated Jane Veron, CEO of TAP.

Marcy Berman-Goldstein of I Am More Scarsdale, and Michael Rosen of Eye Gallery will serve as co-chairs for the event.

stated Lisa Copeland, Chair of the FSW Board of Directors and Scarsdale resident. “The event will give a boost to local small businesses and create a vibrant social sidewalk vibe in the Village—all while helping FSW provide essential mental health and social services to Westchester County’s most vulnerable residents.”

Family Services of Westchester (FSW), Inc., founded in 1954, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing Westchester County with a broad range of social and mental health services that strengthen and support families, children, and individuals of every stage of the life cycle.
