On Wednesday, November 20, Madison Avenue will host two events as part of the annual NYC Jewelry Week. “Made on Madison” will highlight the three Madison Avenue jewelry boutiques that design and fabricate their pieces on premises. “Vintage Goes Modern” will feature expert talks at the many antique jewelry retailers who call Madison Avenue home. Here are the details:

Madison Avenue is home to New York’s largest and most distinguished collection of independently owned, multi-generation antique and vintage fine jewelry boutiques. Vintage Goes Modern on Madison Avenue offers an insider’s look at the antique and vintage collections on view at: Camilla Dietz Bergeron Ltd., ELEUTERI, Fred Leighton, Historical Design Jewels at The Carlyle Hotel, Stephen Russell, Stephen P. Kahan & Son Ltd. and Twain Time – Luxury Timepieces & Fine Jewelry. On Wednesday, November 20 from 6pm – 8pm, and by appointment during NYC Jewelry Week, the stores invite the public to experience the artisanship of their private collections, hear the fascinating stories behind the jewelry, and learn how to collect and wear vintage in a modern way today.

A viewing of Antique and Estate jewelry and talk with iconic designer Renato Cipullo 3pm – 5pm on November 20th. By appointment only, 11/18-24 9:30am-5pm.

Eleuteri – 780 Madison Avenue
Eleuteri, Italy’s primary destination for antique and vintage jewelry, is pleased to invite you to a champagne cocktail celebration in our Madison Avenue store to view the 2019 Holiday Collection. Specializing in 20th century Art Deco jewelry and exceptional Bulgari items from the 1940s through the 1980s, Eleuteri also offers jewels and objets de vertu dating from the Renaissance period until today from esteemed houses like Castellani, Buccellati, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. Brooches Go Modern at Fred Leighton. Join Rebecca Selva, Chief Creative Officer of Fred Leighton, who will show-and-tell “How to Wear Brooches & the Their Timeless Allure” on November 21 at 3 p.m. Open to the public by appointment to view the vintage brooch collection November 18-22, 10am-5pm

Historical Design Jewels at The Carlyle Hotel – 35 E 76th Street
Historical Design Jewels at The Carlyle Hotel will feature a special exhibit on unique vintage jewelry from the 1970s as well as a show of Men’s Jewelry. Evening reception November 20th, 6pm-8pm.

Stephen P. Kahan & Son Ltd. – 25 E 61st Street
Invites you to a viewing of very exceptional and rare Edwardian, Belle Epoque and Art Deco pieces and a signature refreshment. Evening Reception: 11/20 6pm-8pm. Champagne, chocolates and a vintage viewing on 11/21, 11:30am – 7pm, and 11/23 11:30am – 6pm.

Stephen Russell – 970 Madison Avenue
Stephen Russell’s meticulously curated collection includes the finest examples of period jewelry from houses, such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier and Boucheron, as well as the work of artists like Calder and Picasso. The result is an assemblage that varying in range and aesthetic, yielding a contemporary spirit with each piece both relevant and modern. Evening Reception: 11/20 6 pm – 8 pm.

Twain Time – Luxury Timepieces & Fine Jewelry – 19 E 69th Street
Twain Time will be showing their most exquisite and unique vintage jewelry and timepiece collections from the most well-known houses including Tiffany & Co., Patek Philippe, Harry Winston and Van Cleef & Arpels.

As a highlight of New York City Jewelry Week, the Madison Avenue B.I.D. presents Made on Madison Avenue. What many jewelry connoisseurs and collectors may not know is that there are renowned jewelers designing and fabricating jewelry right on Madison Avenue. On Wednesday, November 20 from 6pm – 8pm, and by appointment during NYC Jewelry Week, the stores are welcoming the public into their showrooms and workrooms to experience the alchemy of making jewelry firsthand.

Reinstein/Ross – 29 E 73rd Street
Visit the boutique to view the jewelry collections made on premise. Enter their workroom for a sneak peak into how their goldsmith hand fabricates each piece. Light refreshments will be served.
