PopUpSummer! Launches Pop-UpLIVE, a New Platform for Virtual, Multi-Brand Shopping Pop-Ups, Beginning with HamptonsLIVE

PopUpSummer!, known for showcasing emerging (and sometimes re-invented) designers and brands in Collective pop-ups throughout the country, has taken up the challenge to pivot their business model in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Founder Susan Sandler explained that the new pop-up platform called Pop-Up LIVE, relies heavily on digital technology to present designer’s seasonal collections to fans and customers from a themed, live environment, initially by utilizing Instagram’s IG Live feature.

Beginning with HamptonsLIVE on July 18, staged from a beautiful, IRL garden setting, 15 must-watch designers and brands will go live with host DJ Nicole Rose to tell their stories and showcase products, while guests view, chime in, ask questions and shop from the comfort and safety of their own homes or phones.

PopUpSummer! and Pop-UpLIVE Founder Susan Sandler tapped fashion designer Andrea Seemayer of A. Lynn to help her create the first execution of the platform, a digital summer shopping experience that will immerse customers in a chic garden party, set in the heart of the Hamptons. A portion of VIP ticket proceeds will benefit The Retreat and Campaign Zero.

The Hampton Live event features a collective of accomplished female designers and brand founders, including shoe taste-maker Sarah Flint, and sustainable beauty brand platform well-social, available on Instagram @Supbabepod, from 3-6PM on Sat. July 18th. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 10, and include a Hampton Live signature tote bag and face mask, Pomp&Whimsy cocktail kit and access to a new summer playlist by DJ Nicole and summery goodies/special offers from the participating brands.

“As we quarantined here in the Hamptons last Spring and worked with designers to pivot sales events to online platforms, I looked for ways to “walk the talk” with them, by developing a multi-brand pop-up platform that merges live presentations in an experiential retail setting, with digital, interactive shopper participation.

We envisioned the upcoming Pop-Up shopping garden party to showcase their talent and bring some virtual fun into the Hampton’s shopping scene. We’ll be outside wearing masks and social distancing so our customers can enjoy seeing great design in a beautiful setting, “meeting” the women founders behind the brands, and shopping product selections from the comfort and safety of their own homes,” explained PopUpSummer!/Pop-UpLIVE founder Susan Sandler.

“We also feel that this inaugural event is a great opportunity to come together as founders and give back to important organizations addressing pressing issues of our time, including ending police violence and providing vital resources for families facing domestic violence, with Campaign Zero and The Retreat,” Susan explained.
