“Being #2” by Wines of Corsica is the second annual event celebrating the burgeoning wine making region of the gorgeous Corsican island. Nestled beneath Italy and France, this French island has been making wine for 2500 years but is becoming more and more known for their roses and crisp whites as of late. This two day event Thursday April 21st and Friday April 22nd marries wine and art at the Joseph Gross Gallery in Chelsea. Tickets are $45 for VIP and $35 for GA and attendees will not only be able to sip a variety of wines from 11+ wineries and nosh on bites from local food purveyors (think cheese and oysters), but the event will also feature art exhibits from two Corsican artists, an objective photographer, Jean-Joseph Renucci, who’s known for his little people situational photography, and filmmaker Jérôme Jouve who will be featuring a video installation of how important the land is to the Corsican winemakers and artisans.
