Afya collects medical supplies in the U.S. and distributes them to communities in need and disaster victims throughout the world
Afya has entered its second decade. And never has our mission, or our need for support, been so urgent.
As you read this, we are all in the gravest of global crises. The good news is that Afya is already assisting the struggling, heroic community of healthcare providers who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 battle. They are actively treating those in need of medical attention, but are in desperate need of the basic supplies that permit them to perform. |

Afya has been given “Essential Service” status by the Governor’s Office to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Our outreach efforts include:

- Federally Qualified Health Centers:
 We are working with large, underfunded outpatient centers to get them essential supplies, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for healthcare professionals. Afya has already delivered thousands of pounds of supplies to Hudson River Health in Peekskill and United Harlem in NYC, with more deliveries scheduled to follow.
- Community Agencies: Afya is also supporting our local community agencies (residential facilities, Meals on Wheels and others). Already, we have helped 6 agencies with PPE supplies.
- Hospitals: Beginning this week, Afya will be diverting large shipments from manufacturers and resellers straight to our major hospital partners’ loading docks.

| We are grateful for leadership funding from the UJA-Federation NY, Regeneron, and the CDC Foundation. But these investments alone are not enough, given the rising tide of COVID-19 cases in our area.
Now, we ask for your assistance. In order to keep the flow of supplies going, Afya relies on support from thousands of individuals. Every dollar donated to Afya generates four dollars of medical supplies to assist this life saving effort.
