5 Tips for Maintaining Mindfulness Throughout the Day

We know that mindfulness is sometimes hard to maintain for yourself, in relationships, and in the workplace. Ok, let’s be real, maintaining mindfulness is hard! But, if you can indeed get a grasp on it, your mental health with sure benefit. In order to not let the stress of your day get you down, you must actively work toward being present in the moment. Everyone has their own ways of maintaining mindfulness, but we’ve created a list for you, in case you need some inspiration.

  1. Practice yoga

Yoga is a great way to start your day with mindfulness or round it out with it at the end of the day. Yoga with Adriene is a great way to practice yoga for free. Adriene has created an 8-Million-person community with her online presence. Her YouTube videos are for viewers of all shapes, sizes, levels, and ages. Her “Find What Feels Good Yoga” is a subscription-based service she offers if you want to take your journey to the next level. The space provides you with a plethora of tools (over 700 videos, workshops, and series) that help you to maintain authenticity, wellness, and to truly Find What Feels Good for you on your mindfulness journey.

  1. Keep a journal

Writing down your mindfulness progress is a great way to track what works for you on your journey. It will help you to remain in the moment you have created and helped you to channel the practices that work for you. We recommend a set of Rifle Paper Co. notebooks. Podcasts can be used to your benefit for many tasks you would like to accomplish. The Daily Meditation Podcast by Sip and Om will provide you with daily meditations to keep mindfulness at the forefront of your everyday life. Within the app you have access to a daily mediation, a journal, and a guide with techniques to enhance your meditation practices. They are also based on a weekly theme, which will keep you on your mediation toes.

As we mentioned before, we know maintaining mindfulness isn’t always easy, and everyone has their own journey with it. But we just hope you allow yourself the grace to learn, grown, and change throughout your own personal journey. Small steps are still steps and we encourage you to make as many as you can.
