On Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving, Regis Philbin gave a talk at The Harvey School in Katonah NY.
Regis was introduced in a video narrated by Jerry Seinfeld. It included all of the
highlights of his life. Every job, cohosts, and star he had met and his star on the Walk of Fame. I was mesmerized. I have been a fan forever Regis is 83 and is sprier than most. Accompanied by his beautiful wife Joy, who he referred to often to fill in a name or two.
Philbin, who has been on TV for more hours than any other personality, told stories about his career and his associations with many Hollywood legends like Bing Crosby and Don Rickles.
Regis the consummate storyteller was interviewed charmingly by Michael Goodkind a graduating senior and aspiring broadcaster as well as headmaster Dr. Barry Festermacher.
Toward the end of the show, he asked that 5-6 females come out of the audience to interview to be his next co-host. How could I resist? My father always wanted me to be just that!! My only regret that I can’t tell my father the story.
