Farm Market part of a nation-wide movement to raise awareness in the communities as to where their food comes from while offering local, organic, fresh, nutritious foods and products

What: Saturday, June 11th marks the start of the sixth season of the John Jay Homestead Farm Market. On opening day, this independent market will showcase 40 vendors on the historic site. Opening day featured participants are Hillrock Estate Distillery, Clock Tower Grill food truck, Beehive Designer Collective of Mount Kisco and Caramoor. Returning favorites include Mobius Fields, Pizza Luca, serving up authentic pizza Napoletana, and Johnny Gelato. We will introduce 10 new vendors joining the market opening day, including Breezy Hill Orchards and Deep Roots Farm NY, offering a variety of pickled items. Here’s a highlight of what you can find at the market opening day: organic & conventional produce, fruit, baked goods, including gluten-free, fresh roasted coffee, bread, meats, chicken, eggs, cheese & charcuterie, pasta, seafood, prepared foods, as well as handcrafted specialty items. Chef Maria Reina will do a cooking demo, Nick the Knife returns to sharpen all dull cutlery and our featured talent will be Shovel Ready String Band who will perform from 10 – 12 pm. Starting opening day KVIS’ Katonah Inspired will sponsor free yoga every Saturday from 10 -11 am and for children there will be a scavenger hunt which will continue the 2nd Saturday of every month. Drop by the Homestead booth for details and to pick up a map. In addition shoppers can take a guided tour of John Jay’s Bedford House, discover the Carriage Barn Education and Visitor Center or explore the site’s six Discovery Centers.
