Bedford Playhouse will present a screening of the documentary Halston, followed by a Q& A with Karen Bjornson (known as Halston’s “muse” throughout his career), Roland Ballester (Producer) and Frederic Tcheng (Director). The film chronicles the life and work of fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick, known simply as Halston, who dominated the fashion scene in the 1970s. Prodigiously talented, Halston reigned over fashion throughout the ’70s and became a household name. But when everything changed in the Wall Street era — and with his empire under threat — Halston took the biggest gamble of his life. Local resident Sara Arnell will moderate the exciting panel of guests. From Vanity Fair to Parsons, Sara Arnell has spent 30+ years advising and guiding companies, luxury brands, editorial and products along a strategic pathway focused on substance and high style.
