CB Gallery, Katonah’s cutting-edge contemporary art gallery, is pleased to announce its next exhibition entitled “Amuse,” by Bedford resident, Megan Cedro. The exhibit will run from February 17 – March 27, 2021.
“I am delighted to continue to operate the gallery safely and am so proud to present the wonderful work of Bedford resident Megan Cedro,” said CB gallery owner Christopher Brescia. Safety measures and adherence to CDC protocols will be taken to protect the health and well-being of all visitors. Masks are required.
“Amuse” is a show comprised of Cedro’s strikingly emotional paintings of similar tableau – a melancholic female figure, often deep in thought and sometimes appearing among mysterious animals. “This work is a combination of the things that inspire me the most.” Cedro says, “My main subject is a girl that is constantly thinking and evolving as I am.” Currently living in Bedford, Cedro’s paintings are a combination of her love of all thing fashion, of animals and nature in general. “I’ve always been creative,” explains Cedro, “Growing up in Florida, I would obsess over fashion magazines for hours and after graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, I moved to New York to work in the industry.”
“I love Megan’s work,” says CB owner Christopher Brescia, “Each piece is more intriguing than the next!” “What an air of mystery,” he adds, “I look at this body of work and constantly wonder – ‘what is this beautiful girl thinking about’! “I think a lot of people will have a similar, intimate reaction.”
Megan Cedro lives in Bedford with her husband and two daughters.
