A new addition has been made to the fair’s programming for 2024. Acknowledging the acclaimed history of Artexpo New York, Redwood Art Group introduces “The Legends” – commemorating six special exhibitors who have helped make Artexpo New York such an iconic event. Each Legend was selected by Artexpo’s curatorial team, based on three factors: the exhibitor has showcased at Artexpo New York for 10 years or more; has demonstrated an unswerving representation of artist innovators, consistently bringing forward-thinking and cutting-edge art to the fair, and has brought an articulate and distinctive presentation of each artist’s work, exceeding all display guidelines.  This year’s inaugural Legends are Artavita / World Wide Art (Booth 107), Artifact (Booth 401), INNOART (Booth 434), Mecenavie Gallery (Booth 305), Sammoun Fine Arts (Booth 215) and Shex Art Studio (Booth 308).

K-Art Projects USA, Booth 109

Artists Carola Orieta Sperman and Alejandro Rauhut are pushing the boundaries of what’s expected and delivering work worthy of a second look.

  • Carola Orieta Sperman’s Reverie in Blue is a fusion of art, paint, photography and artificial Intelligence, revealing a new frontier where creativity is redefined. Through the lens of A.I, Reverie in Blue embodies a harmonious blend of human ingenuity and technological innovation, inviting contemplation on the evolving nature of artistic expression in the digital age.
  • Columbian artist Alejandro Rauhut’s series “Exclusions” takes the viewer on a modern-day technological journey of early 19th century cities. Using light boxes and mirrors to create effect, Rauhut’s pieces depend on light to generate different nuances, where the geometric figure are turned on and off, generating different sensations depending on its state and environment. This makes them not only contemplative but interactive with the viewer.  This series consists of maps of four different cities — London, New York, Paris, and Tokyo — each with a different color and geometric figure that represents a wake-up call to gratitude. Taking it one step further, there is a  QR code, enabling the collector to travel via Augmented Reality through the cities.

4—8 p.m. ART LAB: THE BOLD COLOR OF ALMAS KABANI

The Gallery Steiner, Booth 209

Fashion designer, musician, and now painter, Almas Kabani, sees her art as a means of language, expressing soulful multidimensional feelings on each canvas. Unveiling four of her newest masterpieces at the Gallery Steiner’s booth, you will see how her paintings evoke a visceral response, as she combines colors, movement and texture to create motion that resemble tapestries and fluidity that resembles cosmic shifts. The paintings vary from being galactic, like Mystery, to being grounded and earthy as in Brilliant Ribbons. Meet Kabani and take an excursion through her masterful works.

4—8 p.m. ART LAB: UNVEILING THE JOAQUIN PHOENIX & ROONEY MARA SAVE THE CHIMPS COLLECTION

Joaquin and Rooney painted the base coats then chose color combos for the chimps to use. FedEx Cares donated the shipment of the paintings from LA to the Florida sanctuary then onto Manhattan where they will debut at Artexpo New York.
