Sometimes the best days start with a text that immediately makes you smile.

“Good morning everyone this is Aldo. Beautiful day to host you at the winery…”

And honestly? It really was.

We headed to Ferreira Carpenter Winery at 62 West Ridge Road in Warwick, New York, where Aldo gave us directions that felt more like being invited to someone’s beautiful country home than visiting a winery.

 

“When you arrive it does say private drive next to the pond just come up the long driveway. You’ll see our new building being built on the left when you reach the top, I’ll be there to greet you.”

And there he was waiting for us.

Your first photo says it all: friends standing together under dramatic Hudson Valley skies in front of the future winery building that’s currently under construction. It immediately gives you a sense that Ferreira Carpenter is building something much bigger than just a tasting room.

Then you see the peaceful pond at the entrance and instantly feel yourself relax. The property is beautiful, quiet, and tucked away in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem.

This wasn’t just a wine tasting. It was a chance to hear the story behind the winery and get a glimpse into the future.

Aldo shared:

“My plan is to give you a quick narrative. I do have a late lunch available. We could taste some wines, tour the existing winery and then take you to the new winery to give you the vision of the future while we’re discussing how we can partner together to benefit each other looking forward.”

And you could immediately feel the passion behind it all.

One of my favorite moments was sitting in the SUV with everyone, wine glasses in hand, already laughing before the tasting even officially began. That’s the thing about experiences like this. It’s not just about the wine. It’s about the people, the stories, and the atmosphere.

Inside the winery, we toured the barrel room and learned more about the aging process. Seeing the rows of oak barrels and the World Cooperage markings made everything feel authentic and hands-on. You could tell this is truly a labor of love.

The tasting room itself had a warm, rustic feel with shelves lined with bottles, deep wine-colored walls, and little details everywhere that reflected the winery’s personality and history.

And yes… there was plenty of wine tasting involved. 🍷

I especially loved hearing about their plans for growth and future partnerships while sipping red wine surrounded by barrels and countryside views. Ferreira Carpenter feels like a winery with real vision, and it was exciting to hear about what’s next.
