On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the Westchester music scene comes together in a big way—with heart, soul, and star power—for a very special evening. The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College will host “Musicians United for ALS,” a fundraising concert honoring Wayne Warnecke, a beloved producer, engineer, and Westchester native who is currently battling ALS.
This unforgettable night of music will benefit ALS United Greater New York, an organization providing critical support and services to those affected by ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
A Lineup That Hits All the Right Notes
Just announced—new additions to the already stacked lineup include:
-
The Bacon Brothers (Yes, that Kevin Bacon, and his Emmy-winning brother Michael!)
-
Elza Libhart
-
Kati Mac
-
Jazmo, Michael Horowitz, and Nine Men’s Morris (Local favorites!)
If you’ve never seen the Bacon Brothers live, here’s your chance. Their genre-defying mix of folk, rock, soul, and country—what they call forosoco—has graced stages around the globe, from Carnegie Hall to Japan. Their new album, Ballad of the Brothers, dives deep into their musical bond and distinct artistic styles.
Also taking the stage is Elza Libhart, a Ridgefield local with an impressive resume, including collaborations with Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead and Andrea Bocelli. Her emotional connection to Wayne, who has recorded her work for years, makes this performance especially meaningful.
And if you’ve ever found yourself humming the ZZ Top hit “She’s Got Legs,” you’ve already heard Kati Mac’s voice—she sang the iconic L’eggs jingle on that track! With a #1 song on the Roots Radio chart and multiple Emmy nominations, her powerhouse voice will bring the house down.
More Than Just Music
The concert is the brainchild of Westchester musician Mickey Rosen and is supported by Title Sponsor The Lasdon Foundation and Platinum Sponsor GMG Public Relations, Inc.
Hosting duties will be handled by none other than Vincent Pastore of The Sopranos, with Rob Mathes (producer, arranger, and all-around musical genius) serving as musical director.
Other must-see performances include Wayne’s wife, the incredible Vaneese Thomas, R&B legend Carla Thomas, Rob Thomas, and more.
🎟️ Tickets range from $215 to $250 and include access to a cocktail reception at 5:30 PM, followed by performances starting at 7:00 PM.
