In her conversation with Major, Rae opens up about the creative journey behind her new single, “Diet Pepsi,” which has already garnered significant attention. Rae shares her enthusiasm, saying, “I’ve just been really happy about the reception of it all and people connecting with it. It’s been really, really amazing. And video is kind of like my view of the world of it all so I always like to be like, oh just go watch the video because it truly is such a look into how I view the song and how I feel when I listen to it.”

Switching gears to her acting career, Rae talks about her upcoming film “Animal Friends,” which features an impressive cast including Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Vince Vaughn, and Aubrey Plaza, directed by Peter Atencio. Although details are scarce, Rae teases, “There’s not much out about it yet, but soon, soon, soon, soon. But that, yeah, that’s coming, which is really exciting. And, um, yeah, if you like comedy, you know, you know Ryan Reynolds.”

Despite her role in the slasher film “Thanksgiving,” Rae confesses her aversion to scary movies, revealing a preference for light-hearted fare like “Halloween Town.” Looking ahead, she expresses her desire to explore more nuanced roles, stating, “Something that feels like, you know, really intentional and a little deep. I haven’t really done anything like that because I’ve done, you know, the horror, which was kind of like a horror comedy. And then my first one was a rom-com. So yeah, I think just something that can continue pushing me to grow and change and be able to transform a little bit.”

On a more personal note, Rae shares her Disney World preference, asserting, “This is an unpopular opinion, and, and, I don’t know, people feel types of ways about it, but the first Disney I ever went to was Disney World in Florida, and so I kind of have a bias, and I think it’s the best, and it’s like massive, and they have Animal Kingdom, so Disney World is amazing.”

She also reveals her favorite Disney World snack, “I like the pickles in the bags.”

As for what’s next in her burgeoning career, Rae concludes, “Just working, writing, continuing to see the visions through and creating. I feel like just keeping busy creating and not stopping the flow of energy that I feel like is coming through.”
