Exclusive Block of Orchestra Tickets for “Oh, Mary” on October 15th for $195
Cole Escola’s hit historical comedy “Oh, Mary” has been extended for another two months after breaking box office records and earning over $1 million in its first week at New York City’s Lyceum Theater. Originally scheduled to end on September 15th, the show will now close on November 10th.
For those unfamiliar with the show, “Oh, Mary” offers a delightfully inaccurate portrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln (played by Escola in drag) as a “raging alcoholic and bored, acid-tongued housewife” with aspirations of becoming a cabaret star. Her dreams are consistently thwarted by her absentee husband, Abe (Conrad Ricamora). According to New York Post theater critic Johnny Oleksinski, Escola’s performance makes “Oh, Mary” the funniest show on Broadway, declaring it the best comedic performance in at least a decade.
