Skinny Buddha Fitness Center and Organic Kitchen of Mount Kisco are thrilled to announce that they’re expanding and opening a brand new Skinny Buddha sit-down cafe in Scarsdale, located right across from the train station.
Back in 2013, Skinny Buddha co-owners Elyce Jacobson and Shaka Taffawa opened the Organic Kitchen pick-up window in Mount Kisco in response to countless requests from personal training clients wanting prepared organic meals to take home to their families. With the Organic Kitchen upholding continued success, Jacobson and Taffawa chose to expand their brand with a new sit-down location, continuing their efforts to feed the Westchester community with healthy, nutritious foods that are also delicious.
The new Skinny Buddha cafe will offer convenient in-house seating, which includes 4 tables, 8 seats, and a window bench that seats 4; conveniently located across from the Scarsdale train station, the new location is sure to be a frequent stop for Metro North commuters. The menu will be the same as the one offered at the Organic Kitchen so that customers can continue enjoy their favorite organic dishes, all of which are prepared by Chef Elyce herself. Freshly prepared meals for pick-up, delivery and catering will also be offered at the Scarsdale location.
“We have had much such success with our organic, wholesome food in our current location. We know that food and fitness go together. Being that Scarsdale is a fitness oriented community, we are excited to open our new café,” says Jacobson.
Skinny Buddha prides itself on creating delectably innovative fare while using only the best quality, organic and local products. All ingredients are fresh and certified organic; fats are used sparingly and selectively, and all dairy ingredients are made with pasteurized, hormone-free milk. Skinny Buddha’s products are also non-GMO and do not contain hydrogenated fats or oils. Jacobson and Taffawa strongly believe in supporting local organic farmers; they only use meats that have been raised naturally in New York State pastures without the use of any antibiotics or hormones.
Skinny Buddha’s Scarsdale location will open its doors to the public on July 6th, 2015.
