Paulina Levine became a volunteer with the March of Dimes in 2007 when she and her husband, Josh, started Team Levine in memory of their twins, Chloe and Isabelle who were born premature at 26 weeks.
Over the past 6 years, Team Levine, led by Paulina as the Team Captain has raised over $175,000.
In 2009, Paulina became a Mission Ambassador Speaker; taking the courageous step to speak publicly about her personal experience. Paulina has been the perfect spokesperson for the March of Dimes because she is caring, smart, inspiring and it’s evident that people are truly affected by her story.
Paulina has given multiple live interviews on CBS TV and radio, spoke in front of over 5,000 walkers at the 2010 March for Babies walk in NYC, at the 2010 Transportation and Construction Luncheon, she helped raise over $34,000 in a direct appeal to the audience for Fund the Mission, and was the Mission Speaker at the 2011 annual Beauty Ball.
Team Levine has ranked “Number 1” Family Team in New York City for 5 consecutive years. While Paulina has raised a lot of money by going public with her tragic story and her amazing efforts, she gives hope to women suffering after a pregnancy loss. Raising money for the March of Dimes was the most appropriate charity in which to honor the memory of Paulina’s daughters because of the March of Dimes’ mission.
The March of Dimes is very grateful to Paulina and the Levine family, and bestowed the Volunteer of the Year Award upon Paulina for her hard work, courage and commitment.
