Wine connoisseurs and foodies rejoice – it’s time to celebrate HARVEST EAST END! Now in it’s fifth year, we are proud to welcome Long Island’s preeminent weekly newspaper, Dan’s Papers, as the managing partner of the event, thus renaming it: Dan’s HARVEST EAST END.
Hot off the heels of Dan’s Taste of Summer,where more than 2,000 hungry hamptonites came to revel in the best bites of the East End, Dan’s is excited to roll into the summer’s next hot event, celebrating the bounty of the Long Island Wineries. Nearly 40 wineries and 20 top East End chefs have teamed up to showcase Long Island’s burgeoning economy by pairing local grapes with local flavors. The wine-centric affair will welcome back Joshua Wesson, sommelier and wine enthusiast, to lead the event and honor Florence Fabricant, longtime New York Times dining columnist, and Long Island chef-restaurateur Tom Schaudel for their contributions to the area’s food and wine culture. Fabricant, a maven in the industry, is more than just a writer, having published 11 Cookbooks, and is proud to launch a new title this summer. The elegant affair will also include a silent auction featuring Jerboams (double magnums), bottled especially for the event by participating wineries. Dan’s HARVEST EAST END will return to it’s roots at McCall Vineyards and Ranch in Cutchogue, NY on Saturday, August 23rd for what’s bound to be a wine of a time!
