Bastille Day 2026 Returns to NYC: French Food, Wine, Shopping & Family Fun

If you’ve ever dreamed of spending an afternoon in Paris without leaving New York, mark your calendar now.

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, Manhattan will transform into a celebration of French culture as L’Alliance New York presents Bastille Day 2026, the largest French festival outside of France. More than 50,000 people attended last year’s event, and this year’s celebration promises even more food, art, music, shopping, and family-friendly fun.

Montmartre to Manhattan

This year’s theme, “Montmartre to Manhattan: Celebrating 250 Years of French American Creativity,” highlights the rich cultural connections between France and the United States.

One of the most exciting attractions is the Monumental Jeu de l’Oie, a massive interactive street installation created by French artist Gwendoline Finaz de Villaine and illustrator Pauline Lévêque.

Vintage Cars and French Style

Car lovers won’t want to miss the annual Citroën Rally, where visitors can admire classic French automobiles up close on 60th Street.

French Food, Wine, and Shopping

The French Market will feature more than 50 food and lifestyle vendors offering French food, artisan crafts, gifts, and family-friendly activities.

Film Lovers Take Note

The festival will feature screenings of two French films, including Mon Oncle, Jacques Tati’s beloved Academy Award-winning comedy, and Leave One Day, making its New York City premiere.

Pet Parade with French Flair

Animal lovers won’t want to miss the Carnaval des Animaux, a pet parade and costume contest presented in partnership with New York Dog Parade.
