Launched in 2004, The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF) was founded by Caroline Hirsch and is produced by Carolines. NYCF brings together over 200 of the country’s top comedians who perform in more than 100 shows at some of the most prestigious venues in the five boroughs, including the Apollo Theatre, BAM, the Beacon Theatre, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, The Theater at MSG, Town Hall, and many more.
“We’re very excited to bring the best comedians – from emerging talent to established headliners – from across the country and throughout the world to perform at this year’s festival,” said Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival. We’ve curated an amazing line-up of shows, with many more to be announced in the coming months. As we expand from seven to ten days this year, we welcome some new partners including Bread Financial and Death Wish Coffee as well as expanding our relationship with the Hard Rock Hotel New York. It’s because of our valued partnerships that we’re able to continue to expand each year and bring even more laughter than ever to The Big Apple.”
In addition, Caroline Hirsch will be honored with the first-ever Bob Saget Award presented by the Scleroderma Research Foundation (SRF) on November 8, 2023 at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. The award honors the memory of the late Bob Saget, who served as a SRF board member from 2003 – 2022 and was a SFR Ambassador since 1991.
Bill Burr returns to the NYCF for his third appearance at Madison Square Garden on Friday, November 10. “I got passed at the Comic Strip in 1996. The thrill of being a working comic in NYC has never worn off. To be able to perform at MSG is beyond any dream I’ve ever had. Thanks for having me!” said Bill Burr.
