With millions of visitors a year, Times Square is the beating heart of New York City — a metropolis many consider to be the center of the world. Offering a rich blend of history, entertainment, shopping, and culture, Times Square creates memories and moments that last lifetimes. Iconic and synonymously recognizable, some may be unaware that the most daringly unique moment in Times Square begins right before midnight.
Times Square Arts, the largest public platform for contemporary performance and visual arts presents its signature program Midnight Moment, inviting visitors to experience an intimate interaction inside one of the world’s biggest epicenters by taking over close to 100 electronic billboards throughout Times Square and displaying immersive video works by some of the biggest names in art among the likes of Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono, Nick Cave, Pipilotti Rist, and Tracey Emin. A new artist is featured each month of the year.
Happening nightly at 11:57pm for over 10 years, Midnight Moment is the world’s largest, longest-running digital art exhibition. Always free and open to the public, this cultural showcase pushes the boundaries of what public art has to offer and transports visitors into a reality where constant advertisements don’t exist, and where all can become one — if even for just three minutes.
The perfect unique experience to add to an already planned visit to New York City that will likely include a Broadway show, museum visits, and the best restaurants in the world
