When cuffing season rolls around, the bar isnât just where you grab a drink â itâs basically a dating confidence test.
New research from Talker Research, in partnership with Mi CAMPO Tequila and Tinder, surveyed 2,000 single millennials and Gen Zers (21+) and found a strong link between drink choice and how boldly people âshoot their shot.â
And apparently, those who take their drinks neat, knock back a shot, or order a classic margarita⊠are some of the most confident daters out there. Cheers to that. đž
đ„ Shot Takers = Shot Callers
A whopping 78% of people who go for shots come across as confident â same for those who drink their liquor neat. And 70% of margarita lovers? Also bold.
But itâs the âon the rocksâ crowd who win this confidence game with 79% saying theyâre likely to make the first move. (Bonus: Tequila drinkers â 77% of them â are also out here initiating connections like itâs their job.)
âConfidence in dating isnât just about being bold â itâs about being real,â says Devyn Simone, Tinderâs resident relationship expert. âGen Z and millennial daters are showing us that authenticity is the new superpower.â
Translation: Whether youâre sipping a margarita or slamming a shot, itâs the confidence that does the flirting.
