Marc Black’s History of the 1950’s and 60’s through Popular Song at the Schoolhouse Theater.

New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Marc Black, will be back at the Schoolhouse Theater in Croton Falls, NY on January 20.  This show takes the audience on a whirlwind, multi-media musical tour through the ever colorful 1950’s and 60’s.  Mr. Black somehow reconstructs our history through songs you can’t resist singing.  All the way from Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini to Blowin’ in the Wind;  by artists that range from Dean Martin to George Harrison.  Marc will also perform his own group’s top forty hit from 1967… ‘Happy’ by the ‘Blades of Grass’.

Marc has performed and recorded with some of the best artists of the era including Art Garfunkel, Taj Mahal, Richie Havens, and Pete Seeger to name a few.  He was recently named Folk Artist of the Year on ABC Radio, and a winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival.  His Youtube videos have been viewed more than 100,000 times!

Marc Black is a cultural historian with a guitar, as smart and savvy as he is entertaining.  The audience was hooked from the second he set foot on stage  Derin Tanya, Kleinert/James Art Center, Woodstock, NY
