It’s time for summer shopping! On Thursday, July 27, the KMA will feature an evening of browsing and buying with two fabulous collections appearing as a pop-up shop at the Museum.  Unique his-and-her footwear, home goods, accessories and much more will fill the space with eye-catching items and irresistible finds – fashioned from carpets and textiles from around the world . Artemis, a shoe and bag brand created by the talented Milicent Armstrong will present unique products alongside treasures from Old New House, a Katonah favorite and the brainchild of Melissa + Dave Dilmaghani. The event will take place from 6 to 9 pm. Scroll down to view the invitation and please spread the word! A portion of the proceeds will support the Museum. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Cara Nolan, Development Associate: cnolan@katonahmuseum.org or 914-767-2968. We will see you soon!

Artemis Design Co.  — www.artemisdesignco.com

Artemis Design Co. couples unique, worldly textiles with classic design to create one of a kind handbags, kilim shoes, and other accessories.  A passion for collecting, faraway travels, and love of all things beautiful has led designer Milicent Armstrong to source and design her many collections. Milicent is an incredible creative talent, and the Rosenberg family is a devoted customer!

Artemis is best known for their magical “Flying Carpet Shoes” — one of a kind kilim loafers and kilim smoking shoes that are all handmade from genuine Turkish flying carpets! Milicent and her team handpick the most vibrant, beautiful Kilim carpets from the bazaars of Turkey, and then make limited edition collections, resulting in completely one of a kind and collectible footwear.

Old New House – www.oldnewhouse.com

Melissa + Dave Dilmaghani, the wife and husband creative team behind Old New House, are passionate about antique, vintage and handmade items and specialize in textiles: old hand knotted carpets of all vintages and types, fine woven throws in addition to wall art, hand-made original pillows, and furniture. Old New House launched in 2011 on Etsy.com to rave reviews, and in the fall of 2016, Dave and Melissa opened their 1st store (and operation headquarters) in Katonah, just across the street from the train station. Authenticitygenuine age and period correct décor are important to them, as are texture and colors. They source and carry rare and collectible rugs from antiquities to the 19th century, as well as outworn, distressed and faded carpets such as vintage Oushak rugs
