Get On Your Mat For Mental Health!

Get ready to welcome summer under the open sky and celebrate the International Day of Yoga on Wednesday, June 21st as The Mental Health Association of Westchester’s popular yoga-class-for-a-cause returns to White Plains! Taking place in Turnure Park this year, Get On Your Mat For Mental Health raises awareness and funding for mental health issues and services during an invigorating and empowering community-driven outdoor mega-yoga event.

Arrive for check-in or registration at 5:30pm and enjoy tunes from world music trio House of Waters while checking out the yoga marketplace. Need a new ‘do for downward dog? Stop by Drybar’s table for a complimentary braid from one of their stylists. Then, make your way over to the photobooth to strike your favorite yoga pose and join MHA’s social media campaign to tell the world you think #MentalHealthMatters!

Yogis of all levels and ages will get on their mats at 6:30 for an hour-long class led by renowned yoga teacher Beryl Bender Birch. Beloved for her down-to-earth, accessible style of teaching, Beryl has been teaching yoga and training yoga teachers for over 40 years. A portion of the ticket sales will go toward the Give Back Yoga Foundation, of which Beryl is the co-founder and board chair.

Be sure to sign up today: the first 250 registrants will receive a free yoga mat at the event, generously donated by White Plains Hospital!

Adults: $25 through June 20th ($30 day-of); Kids under 12 can register at a reduced “little yogi” rate of $15.
