Top 10 Reasons to start a Fitness routine this Fall

Equinox Greenwich Coach Giovanni Roselli shares his top 10 Reasons Why you Should Start a Fitness Routine this fall:

11.23.10-Fall-Running

– Get a jump-start on the holiday season filled with many overindulgent meals

– The crisp clean fall air is invigorating for running, hiking, biking

– Your children are back in school on a schedule, so it’s easier to get yourself on a schedule

– You want to look good in that Halloween costume and for those holiday parties

– We are generally more active in the summer, being outside and doing outdoor activities, so on the contrary exercise becomes more important in the fall since we are less active

– You need to get back on track after a very fun summer filled with too many nights of drinking and eating unhealthy

– Group fitness classes will be back in full swing as some instructors take some time off during the summer or travel to warmer weather to teach outdoors

– So you aren’t one of those people who start on January 1st! You don’t need to wait until the New Year to start a resolution, and in addition you will already be in a consistent routine by the time the New Year rolls around

– In Chinese medicine, the fall is a time to let go of whatever is no longer serving us.  So let go of those unhealthy habits and begin with a new energy of the season

– Working out in the fall can help keep your body and immune system strong for the tough cold, winter months ahead
