3 Trends for Spring and How to Wear Them

This season, designers put the emphasis on strong black-and-white looks (OK, there were a few floral prints, too). Appropriate to wear year-round, easy to pull off at every budget, and sleek enough to work at the office or on date night.

Floral Prints: Nothing says spring like flowers and they are blooming everywhere this season. Bold and bright is right – pops of color!  From delicate silk pants paired with a simple t-shirt to larger print jackets worn with black pants or with boyfriend jeans, floral prints are here. The hottest runways are filling the stage with bold colors, from neon pinks, to lime greens this is one trend that you will see coming back every spring/summer.  If you are looking to get into this trend slowly try a coral or pink shade on your lips and keep your eyes neutral.

Black and White:  This trend is probably the most wearable and a look to embrace all year round.  I love the sophisticated, easy tailoring of an all white outfit worn with a simple black shirt or a black leather jacket over a white skirt. It is so totally wearable, good for day and night, shows you know your style of the season but doesn’t make you overly “trendy”.

Accessories:  Jewelry takes center stage this season.  Anything and everything works—pile on the gold bracelets as your statement piece. Mixing patterns! Try a bright necklace with a patterned top. This is the season to let your hair down and just go for it.  . Look at jewelry, mixed metals is so hot. You aren’t just a silver girl or a gold girl anymore – you can be both!
