My friend Jeffrey Terreson, longtime Bedford ressident  announces his third biennial, solo exhibition/show, DEPARTURE, at Bedford Historical Hall, 608 Old Post Rd, Bedford, New York.

“When painting, I never seem to be fully satisfied until the painting finds itself — the process is about letting go, having the faith and confidence to allow the painting to unfold and become the art, as a conduit, I become the messenger,” explains Terreson. Discovering and creating texture, mixing color and process is the practice that deepens his conviction to paint.

DEPARTURE will feature more then 35 paintings, including Terreson’s EQUUS series. This highly popular series has been acquired by affluential collectors such as Ralph Lauren and Joseph Abboud, and has had successful showings at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida and the Hampton Classic.

Opening night party will be Friday, November 29, 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The show runs through Sunday, December 1.

Terreson, well known for his interpretive paintings of horses and abstracts, uses light and color as a gesture of fiction and realism inspired from local surroundings. He will be introducing his new DEPARTURE series representing his continued growth and responsibility to move forward as a painter, embarking towards a persistence of being fearless to the new.

Exhibit continues Saturday, 11 am -10 pm and Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm.
