Lisa Hochstein, the break-out star and newest cast member of The Real Housewives of Miami is a former Playboy model and actress. Married three years to Dr. Lenny Hochstein, aka “The Boob God,” of Miami, Lisa is not only a Bravo celebrity, but a budding entrepreneur about to launch her own beauty business. “It’s my own skincare and hair care line, and my own fitness products and fitness supplements,” Lisa said in an exclusive interview for StacyKnows from her Star Island home in Miami. “I can’t tell you the name yet, but the sky’s the limit.”
Married to a plastic surgeon, Lisa’s become an authority. “I’ve learned so much from Lenny. I consider myself an expert.” Although her husband did her boobs (again – she first had them done at the age of 19), the rest of Lisa is what she was born with. “What you see is me,” the Toronto native said. “I spend 15 minutes every night before I go to bed taking care of my skin. I’m 30 years old. I love makeup, but before you put it on, you have to have a smooth canvas.”
Lisa said having her breasts enlarged at such a young age was a very poignant decision. “I was very self conscious about the way I looked,” the star explained. “I was very flat chested, boyish, insecure. I didn’t feel comfortable in intimate relationships.”
While her husband is famous for creating big racks, what about the tush? “I think a big, beautiful rump is sexy,” Lisa said. “But I’m not a fan of the butt implant.” Her advice is to “do tons of squats and eat plenty of protein. Protein feeds the muscle!”
In Miami where everywhere you look is bare skin, the hair removal business is booming. Waxing studios and laser treatments reign, but Lisa uses neither. “I have very fine, light blond hair and lasers don’t remove that,” she said. “I would love to get rid of my bikini line, but I can’t wax. I can’t take the pain!” Instead, she’s a fan of threading and shaving. “I thread and use Retin A on my face to cut down on the hair growth, but on my legs and bikini area, I use a razor.” Her go-to product right now is Schick’s Intuition razor. “It’s got the shaving soap built right in,” Lisa said. “It’s quick and easy and takes two seconds.”
What’s Lisa Hochstein’s secret to a happy marriage? “Besides giving my husband great sex?” she laughed. “It’s my cooking. I make him meatballs. He loves this certain recipe. It’s like the key to his heart.”
When her star turn on the Miami Housewives is just a memory, what legacy would Lisa Hochstein like to leave behind? “I want people to see me for who I am and to see I’m real,” she said. “I treat people from all different walks of life with respect. I don’t care if you’re wealthy or you’re not. What means something to me is how you are as a person. I want people to see I’m not pretentious. or that I have to run with a certain social circle. Behind every good man is a good woman. In my marriage, I do everything. I am the house manager. (Daysy, her housekeeper, only comes twice a week.) I am the banker. I am the event and social coordinator. I cook for my husband and do the grocery shopping. I want people to know there’s more to me than what they see on the show.” And soon she’ll be launching her own skin care and fitness line. “I’m not a spoiled brat. There’s a lot to me.”
