A valuable horse is found dead in a paddock. Was it, as Diandra claims, an accident — or was foul play at hand?

Eve Marx has penned what should be called “The Real Horsewives of Bedford.”   Marx has made a name for herself as Westchester County’s sexpert. In addition to her books, Marx has been an editor and writer for men’s magazines, notably Penthouse, Swank, Oui, and Cheri.

Beddington Place is the fictionalized account of what really happens inside the barns of Westchester County’s beautiful and privileged ‘horse society.’

Beddington Place is a romantic dark comedy that takes place in Beddington, a Hollywood-East fictional town located an hour north of New York City.  Paige Turner( an adorable name for a writer)  is a freelance celebrity journalist covering the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Sent to Beddington on assignment for Hello! magazine, Paige becomes evermore privy to the spectacle and dark secrets of the glamorous and wealthy equestrian community. Swept up into the social swirl, she is befriended by three women who spend their time gossiping, riding, and shopping. Tamsin Delacorte is a real estate agent and former pageant queen; Janey Epstein, a fashionista, is married to an Internet wizard; and Chessie Jones is the wife of a man who it is whispered is under federal investigation. They’re friends with Michael Swett, a preppy playboy, but the leader of their pack is Diandra Fox, a stunning British upstart who is a clothes horse, horse trainer, and aggressive social climber. Another horse trainer, the devastatingly handsome Alex Manos, is Diandra’s professional rival and Paige’s problematic romantic interest. See, Paige has a boyfriend back in LA, Ric, who yearns to ditch his screenwriting career to become a jazz musician. While Paige is making a name for herself as a blogger in Beddington, she’s getting reports that her boyfriend is dallying with a famous adult film actress, Tickled Pink, who had a turn playing herself in a top-rated HBO series. Meanwhile, back in Beddington, Diandra’s entourage is hatching a plan. Using Janey’s seemingly limitless financial resources, they launch and star in their own reality show, which they’re calling “The Real Horsewives,” and what’s more, they want Paige to script it. Meanwhile a valuable horse is found dead in a paddock. Was it, as Diandra claims, an accident, or was foul play at hand?
