Andy’s Pure Food Vegging Out in Mt Kisco

Posted by Stacy

Don’t be surprised to see Former President Bill Clinton, who is now a vegan at Mt Kisco’s newest restaurant.   Andy’s Pure Food has just opened in the alley in between Starbucks and Churchill’s.   Whether you are vegan or not, I am sure you will love Andy’s.  You can create your own salads and smoothies at Andy’s Pure Food, which also offers a long list of vegetable sandwiches.

Andy had  digestive problems, and was always tired.   A friend told him to stop eating meat, drink more water, and eat more greens.  Within 2 moths he was feeling better.

Andy’s goal, “We’re going to make healthy, fresh food available and affordable to everyone,” he said. “We’re all going to find out that food is our medicine–you are what you eat, drink, and think.”

Beets and Carrots

This all-vegan and mostly raw establishment holds a lot of promise, especially after hearing rave reviews from Andy’s patrons in Rye and Scarsdale.

Andy’s offer Vegetarian, Organic, Raw, Wheat free, Dairy free, Gluten free in   nature’s wonderful bounty in its peak form Raw, Wild, Organic.

I was there on Tuesday, where the parking lot in Mount Kisco was fairly empty, Andy’s was quiet busy, with diners ordering for the salad bar , where you pay by the pound.  All the food was fresh and colorful, and more importantly delicious.

Cleanses are offered at $50 a day.    Andy’s cleanses are a great way to “reset” your body and mind. All the juices, soups and salads are delicious and healthful.  You don’t have to plan far in  you can call or show up in the store at your convenience. I sampled the Green Monster, a delicious combination of apple, celery, lemon, cucumber, parsley, spinach, lemon, ginger,  and romaine.

It’s is hard not to be delighted with  the plethora of choices.  There is something here for everyone. Smoothies, soups, veggies burgers, wild rice—even raw vegan truffles, gluten-free chips and baked goods.

My lunch picks

When picking from the salad bar, I loved the raw bean sprouts , kale salad, quinoa,  the avocado and tomato salad, and  hearts of palm.
