The Southampton Social Club
Posted by StacyA prohibition-style speakeasy mixed with Hamptons’ glam, Ian Duke and David Hilty presentSouthampton Social Club restaurant and lounge! Southampton Social Club provides foodies and nightlife lovers an innovative American menu, offering a refreshing take on classic favorites. Formerly known as Madame Tong’s Redeux, Southampton Social Club (which opened Memorial Day weekend) supports local purveyors, ensuring its diners that every dish is made in-house and prepared daily (including homemade pasta and desserts). The perfect start to any evening, the menu is designed for sharing, so everyone can enjoy many diverse flavors throughout their dining experience!
This reinvented Hampton staple brings a taste of polo chic to guests as they toast to the season under the glittering stars on the hotspot’s outdoor lawns. The restaurant also features a regal mahogany bar, indoor and outdoor dining space with cabanas, two fireplaces, plush banquettes and a library lounge. In addition to a roster of the music industry’s hottest DJs, Southampton Social Club brings live music to the Hamptons’ nightlife scene with local and renowned performers.
Executive Chef Matt Creason (most recently, Executive Chef of York Grill in New York City’s Upper East Side) has crafted sure-to-be signature favorites dishes such as their Fresh Chilled Seafood Tower (prepared with lobster claws, jumbo shrimp, little neck clams, Jeseps neck oysters and Jonah crab claws); and Slow Cooked Pacific Halibut (over market vegetables and fingerling potatoes, finished with a verjus beurre blanc). Guests can also indulge in the resturants original, mixologist-crafted cocktail menu which includes infusion-based and frozen cocktails: St. Ginger Rita (fresh ginger, floral notes of elderflower and tequila); Coco Daqi (vodka martini with fresh lime and coconut); and Hot Summer Nights (the classic Manhattan with a splash of citrus). Furthermore, the venue will offer a late night small plates menu on Friday and Saturday!
Open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner, and Saturday and Sunday for brunch, Southampton Social Club is available to cater any soirée—either in-house, at the office or at your desired venue— and is brought to us by famed restaurateur Ian Duke, a graduate of New York University and co-owner of Upper West Side bar, Prohibition and Lucky’s Famous Burgers (Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, East Houston and Hoboken) in New York City. Additionally, Duke’s extensive resume includs consulting for various groups such as U.S. Concepts, providing salesmanship training for Tanqueray® and Johnnie Walker® Brand Ambassadors.
