More Places To Stay In The “Hamptons”

Posted by Stacy

This summer, stay at the just-opened La Maison Blanche, a 19th-century Victorian home turned Cote d’Azur-style crash pad, complete with a petanque court, gazebo and French bakery on the premises.

There are limited accommodations at this charming boutique hotel ($225 to $525 a night), so you won’t have to worry about noisy guests or big crowds. This said, you’ll want to book fast since each of the eight rooms–we like suite four for its oversized bathroom and garden view–is sure to fill up quickly.

With an on-site brasserie helmed by Bistro Vendôme’s Charles Le Tous and a hot address on Crescent Beach (Sunset Beach), there’s really no reason to leave. But should area attractions call, you can borrow one of the hotel’s complimentary bikes.

The Reform ClubAmagansett’s Reform Club is a hip, stylish, and entirely welcome addition to the menu of Hamptons getaways—not that this hideaway has any interest in letting passersby know. From the outside, at the end of a quiet, leafy lane, the inn is pleasant and entirely uninteresting (the lavish English estate-like grounds and abundance of private patios notwithstanding). But inside, each of the seven suites and three cottages offer a fresh, colonial-minimalist-antique-zen approach to the perfect weekend escape from the city. In other words, giant tubs, dark wood floors and soaring white ceilings, white-tile fireplaces, and an impressive collection of in-room paintings all combine to create an unlikely haven of high design.

A true East End getaway for bustling New Yorkers, the Panoramic View Residences – your private oceanfront escape – offers homebuyers a surprisingly, reasonably priced luxe second home. If waking up to the sounds of crashing waves and stunning ocean views isn’t alluring enough, Distinctive’s year-round staff ensures your every need is met.  Amenities include poolside cabanas, a concierge service, porters, beach and pool attendants, on-site housekeeping, a fitness-center with personal fitness trainers, and on-call massage therapists.

During the off season, the Distinctive’s Resort at the Panoramic View celebrated its best winter ever and has pre-booked over 70% of its summer-season resort rooms. The spectacular seascape is the focus of every resort room, suite and beach cottage.  Guests are steps away from the quiet beach, and can view the magnificent panoramas from their very own gigantic picture windows and private balconies. If this isn’t enough, daily housekeeping along with plush king-sized beds, an outdoor heated pool with cabanas, a fitness center, business center, and proximity quiet beach with beach attendants all combine to make your stay, private, relaxing and memorable.
